He is also currently working on resorbable polymer composites, mainly for bone repair applications. His other interests include, calcium phosphate cements, microsphere technologies, drug delivery systems, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine applications

Research Interest: Studying the pathogenic process in betanodavirus and iridovirus infection in grouper GF-1 and larval grouper fish systems. His laboratory pioneered the use of grouper model to study betanodavirus in vivo on brain damaged, which as a model.
